Duncan Marriott received his MS in Geophysics from UAF in 2001. After graduation he worked for the Alaska Earthquake Information Center studying tsunami inundation modeling. A few years later he was hired by the UAF Infrasound group, performing operations and maintenance on two IMS infrasound arrays (one in Fairbanks, and one in Antarctica) and building and testing infrasound microphones for Chaparral Physics. His responsibilities at Chaparral Physics have grown, and he is now primary point of contact on all Chaparral Physics work. He leads testing and design on new infrasound technology, and is working to pursue the advancement of new products.
