Michael Cristoffersen at AGU23

Michael Cristoffersen, working toward a master’s degree in geodesy at the University of Alaska Fairbanks, talks about his research into the activity of Mount Erebus volcano in Antarctica. He researched the inflation-deflation cycles of a specific type of eruption known as a Strombolian eruption. These are moderately explosive intermittent eruptions that spew material in streamers that can look like fireworks.
