View the full schedule of GI talks and posters. The second tab includes all UAF abstracts as well. All times are shown in Eastern Time.
Action items before the conference:
- Please email uaf-gi-public-info@alaska.edu if you do not see yourself represented on this schedule and updates will be made.
- Submit a request for poster printing through GI Design Services as soon as possible. Allow at least 24 hours for print processing to avoid rush fees; more lead time is greatly appreciated.
- The Mather Library is hosting Practice Your Pitch!, a poster and talk practice session, noon-2 p.m. on Thursday, Dec. 5 — sign up to share your research with colleagues. GI Communications staff will be on hand to give feedback on posters, elevator pitches and oral presentations. All registered presenters will be entered into a drawing to win a $100 payment to support the costs associated with AGU.
- Please consider signing up for a volunteer slot to talk with visitors at the UAF exhibit booth.
UAF's Arctic Research Reception
UAF is pleased to host the second Arctic Research Reception, 6-8:30 p.m., Tuesday, Dec. 10 at the City Tap House Penn Quarter. Please RSVP at https://bit.ly/UAF-Arctic-Research-Reception-AGU2024 and note any research connections who may like to attend. If you attended the first reception in D.C. in 2018, please note that while it is the same venue, we have rented more space this year to increase the capacity to 250 people! View the current RSVP list to see who's attending.
A few things to know about AGU 2024:
- We encourage any UAF faculty, staff and students to use the UAF exhibit booth #931 as your place to connect with collaborators, meet with colleagues, share your research with visitors, and more. We can also distribute your literature—such as job opportunities, program highlights, rack cards, etc.
- Follow the GI on LinkedIn, Instagram or Facebook for updates during the meeting. Check out the hashtag #UAFxAGU to see how UAF is participating in AGU 2024.
The UAF booth and Arctic Research Reception at AGU 2024 are made possible by contributions from research units across the university: Geophysical Institute, Office of the Vice Chancellor for Research, Alaska Satellite Facility, International Arctic Research Center, Alaska Center for UAS Integration, College of Natural Science & Mathematics, Alaska EPSCoR, Institute of Arctic Biology, Institute of Northern Engineering & WERC, College of Indigenous Studies, Alaska Center for Energy and Power, UAF Alumni Association, College of Fisheries and Ocean Sciences, and UAF Graduate School.
